I have definitely found my "comfort zone" is hair cutting. I noticed the
other day that all my hair cuts were either long layers or the
beautiful A-LINE. Although I now feel very comfortable with these cuts
I'm ready to broaden my horizon. So... I decided to try something on my model
Miss Amanda, my mannequin. For those of you who are very conservative
I can already tell you that you might find this hair cut a little odd. A new
trend that has been going on for women is the partially shaved head
or shaved to the back of the ear. This is a type of disconnection. I love this
look but will be honest and say that you will never see me with any
part of my hair shaved. However, I know some girls that I go
to school with that totally rock this look! I'm so excited about this hair cut but I don't believe it's because it's with out flaw. I'm proud of myself
because I reached out of my comfort zone and my mannequin didn't
turn out to be a complete mess! I sent my mom these pictures... little to say
she did not like it, but she was proud of me because I was able
to dig down to my hidden creative side! :)
I wish this would've been on a real head. Anyone that has worked on a mannequin head knows that the hair turns out a MILLION times better on a real head with real hair. I think I should have left
some hair in front of the ear on the shaved side. I believe it could have made that side look more feminine. Please don't laugh out loud at this! I tried my best! Feel free to give me some POSITIVE feed back!
